The Egg Cart'n Chicken Tractor is the perfect home for your flock of 12 or less standard breed chickens. Hand crafted in the USA from high quality materials, this mobile chicken coop will be maintenance free for years. Our mobile chicken tractor is a tidy chicken tractor that measures 4'x6' and is perfect for your backyard or small pasture. It features an upstairs with a perforated floor and two nests for your chickens to lay their eggs and provides ample space for feed and water. It also has a chicken stairway for access to the "downstairs" for grazing and scratching for bugs. To move the chicken tractor to a fresh spot, simply raise it on its four wheels by pushing down on the tongue until it latches in the up position. Move it to a fresh spot and lower the unit to the ground. Made from quality long lasting materials, our chicken tractor weighs 400 lbs but is designed to be easily moved on its wheels around the yard. This is the chicken tractor that provides year-round shelter for your hens in most of the United States. In warm weather, the end panels can be removed to provide adequate ventilation to keep the upstairs comfortable. In cold weather our chicken tractor can be closed on all four sides. Two baffles slide in under the floor and the stairway can be raised to cut down on draft on the coldest of nights. For the times that you want your chickens to roam and scratch outside the chicken tractor you can simply raise the small slide gate to let them out. When they return for roosting at sundown you can close the gate to provide a predator-safe haven for your little flock. Our chicken tractor provides an affordable way to raise your eggs farm-fresh or organic, and to enjoy your pet chickens while they provide food for you. It will easily accommodate 10 to 12 hens. The frame is made of angle iron then finished with hot-dipped galvanizing to prevent rust and increase longevity. This chicken tractor comes mostly assembled and can be completed in about two hours.
