Kahaki Campbell Ducklings |
Khaki Campbell ducks were developed in England during
the late 1800’s, but were not admitted to the American
Standard of Perfection until 1941. Khaki Campbells
typically lay their first egg at five to seven months of age
and are prolific egg layers that will average close to 300
eggs per year under proper conditions. They are an active
breed that requires a vast amount of space for foraging.

Ducks have a tendency to dehydrate during shipping. We recommend the following upon arrival: (1)Provide an abundance of fresh sugar water in shallow water founts, with the water no more than 1/2 inch deep. (2)After about 10-15 minutes, when all the ducklings have had an opportunity to drink, remove all of the water. (3)After 10-15 minutes, without water, return the water and repeat this process 1 or 2 more times and do not let them ever run out of water. Our experience has shown that this process reduces the incidence of water logging, which is the main cause of early duckling mortality.
