Pearl Guineas are the most common variety of Guineas available and a favorite among Guinea enthusiasts. Also commonly referred to as Pearl Gray Guineas, Pearls are dark gray with white dots covering their plumage. Pearl Keets are actually brown with black stripes and markings with more a solid tan underbelly. The Keets head typically has wide black stripe running down the middle with two narrow black stripes on either side. Pearl Guineas are more likely to be available during the season than other varieties.
