Red Broilers are very efficient producers of broiler meat,
especially for those who prefer the darker skin variety of
broilers. Although considered a slower developing meat
bird than Cornish Rocks, they can reach approximately
6 pounds in as little as 8 weeks. These darker plumage
meat birds are more active and will generally have fewer
leg and fluid retention concerns than the faster developing
Cornish Rock. They are brown egg layers, but not
considered a good choice as an efficient producer of
brown eggs. * Available in sets of 25, 50, 75, and 100 chicks (Straight Run Only).
