Rio Grande Wild Turkeys are native to parts of the Southern
Great Plains states, including Texas, Kansas, and
Oklahoma. They have beautiful metallic bronze plumage
that is very similar to the Broad BB turkey. However, the
Rio Grande Wild is smaller and is capable of reproducing
naturally. Females have white-tipped breast feathers
and lack spurs on their legs, which are traits that distinguish
them from males.
